About Us
The Knowsley User Led Organisation (or KULO for short) is an active and inclusive community group of disabled people and carers who live in Knowsley.
We are local people who are passionate about disability issues and citizen rights. We reach out to residents of all abilities in our Knowsley communities who are disengaged or isolated.
As a community group we are working together in Knowsley to:
- Improve the lives of disabled people, carers & vulnerable residents across Knowsley.
- Share local knowledge, expertise and information.
- Develop a strong, proactive and united voice for local people of all abilities who use local services
- Improve and integrate existing services as well as help shape & influence new local services.
Together we can achieve more – the more people that join KULO the stronger our voices will be.
We meet regularly as a group at the Centre for Independent Living.
We have also delivered lots of community led sessions and programmes of activity at the Centre for Independent Living, Unit 11 Brickfields, Huyton Business Park, Huyton L36 6HY including Accessible Cookery Sessions, Monthly Info Sessions and Really Useful Wednesday’s – every is welcome!
