It’s Time for Plan B Knowsley

time-for-plan-bIf your aged between 18 and 30, live in Knowsley and are Autistic we want to hear from you!

The Plan B programme is co-ordinated and delivered by dynamic duo, Drew & Paula Thompson who are members of our Knowsley User Led Organisation (a proactive community group of residents with disabilities as well as carers).

The social, communication and activity programme is inclusively for young adults with autism aged between 18 & 30 years who live in Knowsley.

Quite simply, it’s Drew & Paula’s mission is to encourage and support young autistic adults who live in Knowsley to meet like minded people, make new friends and networks as well as discover new ‘alternative’ places to go.

“I’d noticed that there wasn’t any activities or opportunities to meet young people just like me in Knowsley, so we came up with a Plan B.

Once again, we’ve had another busy year of monthly get together’s, plus we’ve been able to respond to our members demand for more frequent activities and opportunities to come together.

plan-b-halloween-2016Our highlights for this year (2016) have included a water sports session at Crosby Marina led by one of our very own Plan B members, Self defence & confidence building sessions and not forgetting our infamous – yet spooktacular Halloween Party at the Old Coach House, Bowring Park, Huyton  – what a team effort that was”.

Plan B also supports it’s members with wider volunteer, community & training opportunities as well as the delivery of community workshops & events.
