Plan B Knowsley
Is an award winning, community led accessible social activity programme for young autistic adults who live in Knowsley.
The Plan B programme is co-ordinated and delivered by Paula & Drew Thompson.
Plan B’s mission is to encourage and support young autistic adults who live in Knowsley to:
- meet like minded people and make new friends
- try out different activities
- share and exchange experiences
- discover new ‘alternative’ places to go
Please note: Activities and social experiences will be suitable for adults aged between 18 and 30 years.
Plan B would like to hear from you if:
- You are an young autistic adult who lives in Knowsley
- You are a family carer
- You are a support worker
To enhance & strengthen Plan B’s monthly programme of activity and experiences for young people we have an active online network for young people to communicate, socialise and share experiences to support each other.
Volunteer with Plan B
We are always seeking the support of local volunteers of all ages who must be friendly, enthusiastic and willing to support young people to take part in a variety of safe, inclusive activities and experiences in different settings.
You will receive:
- Travel costs
- Local training and support
- Opportunities to meet new people and share experiences
- All volunteers must undertake DBS/CRB checks
**PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR ADULTS WHO WISH TO JOIN PLAN B. AS WE ARE VOLUNTEERS RUNNING THIS PROGRAMME TRYING TO FIND ADDITIONAL RESOURCES AND FUNDING TO ACCOMMODATE THE HUGE DEMAND**
