Monthly Public Information Sessions

Members for our disability community group, the Knowsley User Led Organisation will be hosting a series of public information sessions in 2016 on topics and issues we, as local people with disabilities would like to know more in depth & in detail about.

Information Sessions_Knowsley User LedOur information sessions take place every first Wednesday of every month 12.30 – 2pm at Knowsley’s Centre for Independent Living, L36 6HY.

It’s important to us, that local people with disabilities as well as carers living in Knowsley are equipped with clear and concise information as well as facts – also important to us is local people have an opportunity to speak up and ask lots of questions too.

We like many others, simply want to help ourselves & others live happy and healthy lives.

“Being prepared and clued up on things is a big deal for us – and as they say knowledge is power. But it’s knowing what to do with the information, how to find your way around things, what sort of choices you have and who to go to to ask for help (if you need it). This is why we are running these” MO’S

We think it’s vital that disabled people are clued up about what’s out there to help them and what local support is available – there’s a lot of changes to taking place that local people just aren’t aware of let alone prepared for.

From PIP, Direct Payments, Personal Health Budgets, Carers Assessments, Power of Attorney….

We’re also offering you the opportunity for any suggestions you may have on a topic or issue you’d like us to cover in the future as part of our monthly information sessions.

If you have something you’d like us to cover or to explore, please do get in touch with us at the Knowsley User Led Organisation call Nancie on 07715 392 158 or email:hello@kulo.org.uk
