Knitting Masterclasses

Knitting sessionsTake part in FREE Knitting Masterclasses taking place at Knowsley’s Centre for Independent Living, Huyton.

Our creative sessions begin on Wednesday 17 February from 10 – 12pm. With another 2 sessions following on Wednesday 24 February and Wednesday 2 March 10 – 12pm.

Not only will you learn some basic stitches, you’ll also get to make either a snood (to keep yourself warm) or a pouf (to put your feet up in style).

We supply the essential tools needed to start and complete your unique items for you or your home, including knitting needles, a choice of colourful yarn, as well as expert guidance, a cup of tea and good company.

‘I’m really pleased that we as a group can offer these sessions for people of all abilities to fully get involved no matter what your disability. We as community of people disbilities want to make sure everyone can get involved, you’ll be amazed at what you can do and acheive’, said Yvonne Owens, who advocates for local people with visual impairments.
