Have your say on travel

Knowsley Council has drafted a new travel support policy which will help us to decide who can apply for support from the Council to enable them to travel to education, training or social care services.

The Council currently provides travel support to a number of applicants who qualify for help with travel so they can access our services. This support can include providing financial assistance for an applicant to purchase a bus pass, or arranging for a mini bus, taxi or private hire vehicle to take an applicant directly to a service.

The new travel support policy proposes to change the way that the Council currently provides travel support across our community.

We are using a range of methods to ensure that as many residents and stakeholder groups as possible are aware of the proposed changes and have an opportunity to tell us what they think about them. As a key stakeholder group working with residents of Knowsley we would welcome your views on the proposed changes.

A letter containing further information, and information leaflet about the proposed changed are attached, and you can use this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TravelSupportConsultation-Stakeholders to tell us your stakeholder views on the proposed changes.

Additionally, if any individuals wish to find out more, or to comment on the proposed changes, information is available at http://www.knowsley.gov.uk/your-council/consultation.aspx
