Feel Good Every Wednesday

Every week our disability community group, the Knowsley User Led Organisation deliver FREE and feel good sessions for local people called Really Useful Wednesday’s, from 10am – 12pm at Knowsley’s Centre for Independent Living, Huyton.

Our community sessions are very much practical, craft based and extremely creative. We’ve made lots of different handcrafted items for ourselves as well as in and outside of the home including, picture frames, bird boxes, cushions, draft excluder’s, coasters, dream catchers, neck & hand warmers and snoods.

We’ve also tried out and tested a huge variety of art and craft techniques including, decoupage, pottery, sewing, water colour, knitting, bead work, relief printing and stenciling.

In addition, if you would like to ‘have a go’ and run one or two of our activities we’d really welcome that. We can provide you with a small budget for materials as well as practical support to help you plan to deliver your workshop.

For more info about leading a Really Useful Wednesday session contact our Support worker Nancie on 07715 392 158 or email:hello@kulo.org.uk

Some examples of workshops delivered by community members include candle making, creative writing, bird feeders, jewellery making and decorative outdoor garden pots.

Our Really Useful Wednesday’s are accessible and very social too – and if there’s anything you need us to do or put in place before you attend, please let us know and we’ll do our very best so that you can fully enjoy every session and actively take part.

There’s not need to book a place just pop in any Wednesday morning and get busy with us!

Please note our Really Useful activities change on a regular basis – so if you would like to know what we’re up to next week or in future weeks get in touch with Nancie on 07715 392 158 e:hello@kulo.org.uk .

Hey, we should also say that we do have surplus items which have been handmade by our weekly group members and we have put those on display at the centre in exchange for a donation. All monies that we raise from this will go directly back into our weekly sessions.
