A Disability Access Guide for Knowsley

DisabledGo and Knowsley Council are celebrating the launch of an online Access Guide to Knowsley.

The online Knowsley guide includes detailed access information for over 600 public venues across the area including shops, local parks, Council offices, libraries and leisure centres.

The aim of the Knowsley guide is to give you information so that you can make up your own mind whether a venue is right for you and not to attempt to judge a venue’s accessibility on your behalf.

DisabledGo say “Some of the venues on website are better suited to your individual needs than others, depending on your personal circumstances. After all, it can be just as important to know that somewhere is not adequately accessible as to know that it is. No one likes a wasted journey”.

Click here  to view the Knowsley Centre for Independent Centre listing which describes your journey to and through the centre, featuring useful things like open/closing times, accessible toilet details, parking facilities, changes to floor levels within the centre, hearing assistance system and much more to help you plan your journey.

The DisabledGo website also covers accessible places and venues to go to across the UK, try a search for yourself at www.disabledgo.com
