FREE Accessible and Healthy Cooking Sessions

If you have a disability or long term illness you’ll know how hard it is to maintain a healthy and balanced diet and stop the pounds from piling on. Why not join us in 2017 for one of our Healthy Cooking sessions at Knowsley’s Centre for Independent Living, Huyton.

Our first community session for 2017 starts on Monday 16 January 2017, 10 – 12pm at Knowsley’s Centre for Independent Living.

Our accessible and inclusive 4 week programme isn’t  just about ‘learning how to cook’, each week you are tasked and challenged to prepare a meal which helps to develop individual skills, confidence, knowledge and independence around preparing food, healthier eating, cooking on a budget and the importance of food hygiene.

Importantly to us as a group of local people with disabilities, our sessions are designed to be friendly, informal and social – because we know food (and eating it!) is a great way to bring people together.

Family members, carers and support workers are welcome to join in too.

So if you’ve started your new year with a few extra lumps and bumps from all the Christmas excess and want to get involved and learn about some easy changes you can do when preparing meals at home, contact Nancie to book a FREE place on 07715 392 158 or email: hello@kulo.org.uk

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL AND PLEASE LET US KNOW ABOUT ANY DIETARY OR ACCESS REQUIREMENTS BEFOREHAND SO YOU CAN TAKE PART AND ENJOY YOURSELF!
